Imagine a photo session that’s as fun for your dog as it is for you. Our outdoor dog walk photo sessions are designed to celebrate the joy and companionship you share with your furry friend in a natural relaxed setting. We will enjoy the fresh air, wagging tails and genuine moments!
What to Expect During Your Dog Walk Photo Session
Each session is tailored to bring out the unique personality and spirit of your dog. Whether your dog is playful, curious or calm. We let them lead the way, capturing their true nature as they explore the outdoors. Here’s what happens during a typical session:
* We’ll meet at a scenic pet friendly location like a park, wooded trail or beach where your dog can be themselves and enjoy the surroundings.
I can provide a list of beautiful dog-friendly spots to choose from, or we can go to your dog’s favourite local spot.
* Sessions typically last 1-2 hours, giving plenty of time for your dog to relax, explore and enjoy the experience.
* Dogs can be unpredictable and that’s all part of the fun! I use gentle non-intrusive guidance to let your dog feel comfortable and happy, allowing us to capture those candid moments.
* Bring your dog’s lead, some treats or high value ball or toy. I’ll bring the camera, expertise and a few tips for keeping your dog’s focus on the fun!
* We aim to have a minimum of 20 - 30 quality images for your portfolio, although the actual number of images taken will likely far exceed this.
* From playful action shots to serene close ups, I’ll capture a range of photos that show off your dog’s personality. We’ll also make time for shots of you and your dog together, celebrating the bond that makes your relationship so special.
What's included in the session fee?
The £120 fee includes the following:
* Pre-session meeting at West Walk Forest of Bere Wickham Fareham PO17 6JB . Meeting you and your dog helps me to understand your dogs character better in order for me to curate a plan of shots.
* On the day of your booking we will spend one to two hours with your dog enjoying the outdoors.
* After the session I will prepare the online image portfolio for your review. You will be able to view your gallery in the comfort of your own home and to take your time choosing the prints you would like. No pushy sales from me what so ever. Some Clients like to hop on a Zoom call with me to discuss what I have captured.
* You can select one image from the portfolio to be professionally edited and printed in 8" x 10" format, unframed and including the same image in a Facebook / Instagram ready format.
* Delivery of your print/prints is included in the fee.
Of course, if you would like alternative formats, framed options or more images printed then we can fully discuss and price those requirements.
How to Book Your Dog Walk Photo Session
What if my dog is shy or doesn’t like to sit still?
No worries! My approach is patient and flexible, working with your dog’s comfort level. Even the most energetic or shy dogs warm up quickly in the relaxed outdoor setting.
Can I join my dog in the photos?
Absolutely! Capturing moments between you and your dog is one of the best parts of the session. Whether it’s a cozy cuddle, a shared laugh, or a playful game, you’re welcome to be in as many photos as you’d like.
What if the weather is bad on the day of the session?
In case of poor weather, we can easily reschedule for a day that’s safe and enjoyable for you and your dog. I always keep an eye on the weather the night before our session and will let you know if I think we should reschedule.
What is your favourite outdoor session location?
My absolute favourite location is West Walk in the Forest of Bere Hampshire, such a beautiful location!
How far do you travel for the photoshoot?
I will travel up to 10 miles from PO16, this distance is included in your session fee. If you would like me to travel further I do charge extra per mile. Please give me a call so we can have a chat about your requirements.
Can you mount and frame my prints from the session?
Yes, and that's where I really get excited. Photographs shouldn't be hidden away on file, in a draw and forgotten. I work with professional framers and printers to make each and every photograph look their best. Be it on the wall in your living room or in a presentation box for you to treasure. We will chat about your ideas on our Zoom call.
What if I am unwell?
Please let me know as soon as you can so I can reschedule the day and cancel my photography assistant.
How far do we walk?
Typically I will follow you and your dog on a route, sometimes I will walk ahead and prepare for a shot, and sometimes I will direct you and your dog for a pose or two. It is extremely relaxed and fluid with no rushing. (unless we are chasing a sunset) ;) 1-2 Miles is the average.
